Apple’s Macworld 2009 keynote had to be the most disappointing Apple news to fans, investors, and the press in years. I actually feel bad for Phil Schiller having to take the reins from Steve Jobs without a single exciting product update or release. The least Jobs could have done is provide Phil the no turtleneck Schiller a blockbuster product. Steve could have at least given Phil a bone by giving him the honor of hinting at an upcoming blockbuster product. Instead Phil presented the following Macworld 2009 “highlights:”
- DRM-free iTunes
- “New” 17-inch MacBook Pro
- iLife ‘09
- iPhoto Enhancements: Geotagging & Facial Recognition
- iWork ‘09
Seeing as how the Macworld 2009 highlights were lackluster, I’m calling this year’s Macworld MacSnooze 2009.
